New Hampshire
Liquor Commission
July brought about the culmination of a mascot project that
was a year and a half in the making. We're talking about the
Investi-GATOR. He's the official mascot for the New Hampshire
Liquor Commission, and their Special Services Unit.
The Investi-GATOR may be a fun and friendly fellow, but
he's assigned a serious mission; to help educate today's
youth
on the hazards of underage drinking. Utilizing a mascot
in this manner is an effective means to get their message
across
in a positive light. One that the children and youth will
be more receptive to .
The actual design of the NHLC's Investi-GATOR took place
back in January of 2007. They had the name, and it was
our job
to to put a 'Gator-face to that name. Once the design was
finalized they took the concept and proceeded to fund raise,
budget, and plan for the mascot. A little over a year later,
they returned to seal the deal.
Street Characters had some hoops to jump through on our
end as well, in order to make this mascot happen. We had
to submit
an official bid, and procure a specific license to allow
us to be a vendor for the State of New Hampshire. To us,
it was
all a part of providing the professional level of service
that Street Characters strives to provide every single day.
Now that the Investi-GATOR is on the job, we wish him well
with his crusade to make New Hampshire a smarter and safer
state to live in.
